We teach Year 10 topics in Year 10 for AQA GCSE Sociology to establish a strong foundation in key sociological concepts, theories, and research methods. Early topics, such as families and education, introduce students to core ideas and analytical skills they will build on in Year 11. This structured approach ensures a clear progression, helping students develop critical thinking and the ability to apply sociological perspectives. By mastering these fundamental topics first, students are better prepared for more complex areas like crime and social stratification, as well as for exam success through a well-paced, supportive learning journey.
