Key Stage 3


Year 7 Drama aims to ensure that students develop their confidence as performers whilst adhering to our TEAM values. We explore a variety of Dramatic skills and techniques with a culture of participation and celebration. We assess via weekly and termly ‘showbacks’, peer feedback and termly knowledge checks.

The units for Year 7 Drama are:

  3. Alice in Wonderland
  4. Silent Movies and Mime
  5. One The Sea
  6. Musical Theatre

  2. Fairy Tales
  3. Physical Theatre
  4. Standing Up
  5. Devising

Year 9 Drama further develops students’ skills as actors, audience members, theatre makers, directors and critical thinkers in preparation for the Drama GCSE course, but also to build the transferable skills that are important for all of our young people to develop.

Our areas of focus are: confidence, critical thinking, collaboration and creativity.
