Saltash Community School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, student focused individual as a Pastoral Support Assistant. The role is to help develop effective student engagement and behaviour for learning in school. The successful candidate will support the supervision of students across a year group, ensuring a calm and purposeful learning environment. This will also include supporting the Heads of Year with engagement including relevant communication, referrals and administration, and working with parents, professionals and others to build positive relationships that help improve student progress. We are seeking to appoint a methodical and organised individual who can support our excellent Science team. You will be able to organise the provision of practical support for the teachers and students at all key stages and to assist the head of department in securing an environment in which students can safely pursue investigative practical work.
