Youth Worker drop in sessions

Posted by on Mar 1, 2019 in News | No Comments

Following some feedback, we have reviewed the timings for the new support service at available on Thursdays from 28th February.

Sessions will now run as follows:

  • 12-1 Open for parents
  • 1-2 Open for students

The service comes from the Early Help Hub, consisting of a team of professionals who work with children and their families in the local area. These sessions can open up direct access to all the services that the Early Help Hub can provide.

There are separate session slots for students and parents.  Youth Workers will be able to assist on a variety of issues, from social media safety and relationships, to parenting and housing queries.

Access to the service will be via the bridle path that runs between the school and the astro turf, and will be clearly signposted. Parents attending the drop in sessions will NOT have to come through school reception to access the service.

All support offered at the sessions is confidential and non-judgmental, and the Youth Workers will be able to help put visitors in touch with relevant services if further help is required. More information about the Early Health Hub can be found here –
