The Gatsby Benchmark Toolkit
The Gatsby Benchmarks are a key measure of the effectiveness of Careers advice. They are also a very important part of the Government’s Career strategy. With the support of our Careers enterprise co-ordinator for South East Cornwall, Dave Sellars and our Careers enterprise advisor Jo Tomlinson who support the Careers provision and delivery within the school making sure that it meets the expected benchmarks we have currently achieved 7 out of the 8 benchmarks as indicated below, we frequently complete the online compass evaluations to check that our programme and provision meets the expected benchmarks:

Gatsby Benchmark 3 – Addressing the needs of each pupil – Still need to meet the tracking of students destinations 3 years after they have left school

Gatsby Benchmark 5 – Encounters with employers and employees – Met
Gatsby Benchmark 6 – Experiences of workplaces – Met
Gatsby Benchmark 7 – Encounters with Further and Higher Education – Met
