students represent East Cornwall fantastically at Cornwall School Games

Posted by on Jul 2, 2018 in News | No Comments students achieved top class results representing East Cornwall at the Cornwall School Games at Carn Brea last Friday, delivering fantastic performances across the board and doing themselves proud.

In searing heat, Year 8 and 9 Boys secured 2nd place in the county, with Year 8 and 9 Girls placed 3rd. This widespread success means that every student took away at least one medal for their part in such a great team performance. students also contributed off the track, with our Sports Leaders playing an important role in helping the event run smoothly.
Mr. Budd was delighted that the students had achieved the success they deserved.

“It was especially tough for them at Carn Brea in the heat, but they had a very successful day as you will see from the number of medals! The team have put in a lot of hours of training and have been very committed, and we have had a fair few early starts!

“Our Sports Leaders were exceptional, so huge credit to them and Mrs Cooke for teaching them so well. I was told on a few occasions that our student leaders were the best they had ever seen and we as a school should be very proud of them,” he said.
