Ofqual update on GCSE and A Level Grades

Posted by on Apr 8, 2020 in Covid-19 News and Updates, News | No Comments

Dear Parents/Carers,

Ofqual has now released information about the mechanism it will use to issue GCSE and A Level grades this summer. Please see the attached letter from Ofqual for further information. (Ofqual letter to students)

It is important that your child continues to undertake the work set on Show My Homework to ensure they have completed each course and are ready for the next steps of their education or training. The Government have also stated that if a student is unhappy with their calculated grade (which will be released before the normal GCSE / A Level results day), they will have the option of sitting an exam in the next academic year. It is therefore important your child keeps revising, especially in subjects they may wish to continue to study next year.

As the guidelines state, we are not allowed to release the calculated grades to students.

We appreciate this is a challenging time for all and wish you and your family all the very best.

We will continue to update as and when we get information.

Kind regards,

Ms. Littledyke
