First Year 7 Carol Concert a major success at

The end of term festivities at community school came to a fitting conclusion with a carol concert involving the whole of Year 7 at St Stephen’s Church, Saltash. The church was packed to capacity for the special Christmas event, with large numbers of parents and family friends attending, keen to hear the programme of musical items and readings.

Organised by Head of Music, Emily Venner, and assisted by Nicola Silvester and Jo Loyn, the concert showcased the wide range of music and drama talent at, including ‘Stille Nacht’ by the orchestra, ‘Go tell it on the Mountain’ by the whole Year 7 group, ‘Sing it High Sing it Low’ by the singers, ‘Silent Night’ by Limitless and ‘Rocking around theChristmas Tree’ by the Year 10 GCSE music band. Individual musical items were performed by Brandon Escott, Charlie Hele, Emily Horsham, Tiegan Aire, Hannah Buckingham and Seb Raw. Dramatic readings were given by Louise Venn, Jamie Burton, Tiegan Lynch, Phoebe Turner, Matthew Thomas and Alex Burberry.

Head of Year 7, Ben Rowe, thanked everyone involved at the end of the concert for helping to create the true Christmas spirit as the holidays were about to commence.
