Year 11 students celebrated the end of their GCSEs by enjoying an evening on the red carpet at Boringdon Golf and Country Club, which saw over 220 students and staff members in attendance.
The prom, held on Friday 30 June, saw students and staff arrive in style, with a variety of modes of transport being used, including tractors and open top buses. As guests arrived they were photographed by photographer and DT Technician, Mr Macdonald.

Students enjoyed a sit-down meal, before an evening of fun, food, dancing and live music. Those in attendance posed for official prom photos throughout the night, courtesy of Rob Frost Photography, before dancing the night away.

The evening was a huge success, thanks to the hard work of everyone involved, particularly Assistant Head of Year, Mrs Sloggett. Thanks also go to Assistant Head of Key Stage 3, Mrs Snowdon, who helped with the organisation and decoration of the venue, and Mrs Welsh, who designed the prom invites and table decorations, in perfect harmony with the evening’s theme.

Head of Year Mr. Feldwick was delighted with the prom.

“It was a fab evening for all concerned, and our students did us proud.  Being taught the Macarena by Matt Calder, stealing Billie-Ann’s chips and Brad’s Beyonce belter are all highlights for me.

“There was great food and it’s a great venue, and the rubbish weather didn’t squash us at all.  James Coates and Will Oatey arriving in style on tractors that cost more than Porsches and Alex Walsh’s bus being the fun-chariot for so many.  Thanks Eileen Sloggett for doing such a great job again – I loved every minute of it!” he said.
