We are proud to be a Community School. We strongly believe in the power of the community and the proverb ‘It takes a whole village to raise a child’. We have worked tirelessly this year to improve our working partnerships with community groups in order to support the education and experience our young people receive.

The PTA is a significant part of this belief and vision: working in partnership with parents/carers, guardians and grandparents, has a huge impact on our school community. We now have members of the PTA volunteering their time in school to support school life.

Our team is growing but there’s always room for more. If you feel you are able to give up some time and support our school, to ultimately improve the school community for our students, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Whether you can help with 1:1 reading; gardening; helping out at fund raising events; or being a part of our PTA committee, we would value your time and energy.

The PTA also facilitate events and always need volunteers to ensure things run smoothly. With the relaunch, we have big plans for the future and the PTA leader, Lesley Porch, would be delighted to hear from anyone regarding attending meetings or taking part in fundraising for the school. You can email Lesley at lporch@saltashcloud.net.

More information about the PTA’s work will be posted on our social media, which can be found on Facebook here, and Twitter here.

Saltash Community School’s PTA is a member of ParentKind, an organisation that brings home and school closer together, enabling positive engagement to increase student’s wellbeing and potential. More information about ParentKind can be found on their website.
