If anyone would like to follow the progress of our school team this weekend, or would like to learn more about the Ten Tors Challenge, then you can via the Ten Tors Website below:

saltash.net’s team is designated as ‘S51’ and they are competing in the 35 mile challenge. The trek commences 0700 Saturday and must be completed by 1700 on Sunday – otherwise they will miss out on the medal.

The Team consists of 6 Year 10s – Jake Hyams, Ben Lowe, Tom Doughty, Tim Pook, Joe Mawson, and Isaac Spencer. They have been training since October, each Tuesday after school in the classroom, plus 6 weekends out on the moors in all sorts of weather.

Fingers are now firmly crossed that they remain free of injury and illness for the next 3 days.

The group departed at 8.30 this morning, accompanied by Mr Drewery (Ten Tors Manager), Miss Ripper, Mr Jones and Miss Higgs.

The school is extremely proud of all that they have achieved so far and the determination they are showing to complete the challenge successfully this weekend.
