South East Cornwall Multi Academy Regional Trust

Director Vacancy

This collaborative educational Trust serves a vibrant rural community and is committed to providing the best possible learning experiences for pupils and students in our schools: Dobwalls, Landulph and Trewidland Primary and Liskeard, Looe and Secondary.  Collectively they have a total of approximately 3,000 students, 450 staff and a budget of £ 17m.

The Trust is seeking to appoint a Director who has an interest in Learning, including curriculum and assessment.  Some experience and expertise is obviously an advantage, but enthusiasm for learning about how children learn and how we develop them through our curriculum is more important.

Directors are jointly responsible for the general control and management of the administration of the Trust.  In addition they must carry out the three core governance functions:

  • Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
  • Hold the Executive Team to account for the educational performance of the Trust’s schools
  • Oversee the financial performance of the Trust and make sure its money is well spent

This exciting opportunity is for someone who shares our passion for improving the life chances of all children and who will help us shape the future direction of education in South East Cornwall.
